What happens when?

Postby redcat » Thu Oct 13, 2005 9:23 am

What happens when the computer takes a dump on the efi models?

Does it go into a mode where it runs rich so that you can get it home or does it just stop running?

I'm looking hard at a 700 efi but I just get a little scared thinking about having a computer failure.

I thought I remembered hearing about a limp mode.......

I just called the Polaris dealer and spoke to their mechanic. He said he's never heard of one going out.... and if it did you'd be SOL..... however he also said a new one or spare depending on the model would cost between $140 and $300. He recommended one as a spare..... :D
