Ya RobG I though Rob said 40 bucks a month for 30 minutes, that sounds pretty good to me if that is correct. not sure about the actual phone cost. I was thinking that as much time as we spend in the sticks it would not be a bad idea.

That's really not bad.... About $1.33 a minute.

I think Rob is under the older rates. All I've seen is $50 per month for 50 minutes.

I rented a Sat phone....It's $67 bucks for 1 week. It came today with a hard case, phone, 2 batteries, 2 chargers(car/wall).

For $67 bucks...that's a lot of rentals before you exceed the $500 phone and $50 a month service.

how big is the phone? I know a couple years ago they were the size of the old Car cell phones. . . make you look like you had a huge tumor on the side of your head.

It's like a large handheld. It's the antenna that huge...but that pulls out.

Are you asking me? If so, I worked for DHL for 10 years.... lol.

UPS in my opinion has always been the best overnight delivery service (at least in the US).
