A Bear Raided my Hummer!

Postby GrizzlyGuy » Mon Jul 01, 2013 8:51 pm

So the other day I wake up, head outside, and notice that both doors on the driver's side of my Hummer are wide open. Uh-oh. Photos and the rest of the story are here:

Yeah Angelo, I was amazed that he didn't do any actual damage! I don't think I've ever had a vacuum inside that H2 since I got it back in 2003, so he also gave me a good excuse to do a bit of interior cleaning. :)

LOL, like I said in my caption for the 2nd to last photo, that's actually pretty common:

"He didn't take a crap in the vehicle (often happens when bears break in) so he had no use for my roll of Charmin inside a ziploc bag up on the floor in front of the passenger seat."

Had he pooped in there, I'd have driven straight to Reno and paid for one of those inside/outside auto detailing jobs. The look on the guy's face when he spotted the bear poop would have been priceless.

No problems before, Mike. I know you're not supposed to, but I've been parking the Hummer outside for years with food in it.

This bear was definitely talented. Did you see that last photo of the cookie wrapper that he carefully tucked into the dashboard gap? If there's one thing worse than a show-off bear, it's a smart ass show-off bear.
