Reno To Dayton Valley Ride Pic's

Postby Sasquatch » Sun Jul 08, 2012 10:36 am

Here are the few photo's I snapped from yesterday's ride... We had a group of 10 people with 2 SxS's and 6 ATV's for this run. We started just outside of Spark's and rode through Virginia City and beyond into Mound House near Dayton for some excellent pizza @ Pizza King, and then on the way back we made a pit stop at the Silver Terrace Cemetary in Virginia City.

Enjoy~

Not sure if it's just my settings, but for some reason the far right edge of the photo's are cut off (there is more photo to the right that is not showing up) :?

I think they look great - thanks Dave! I can't believe I forgot my camera... Grrr.

Great shots of the horses!

I definitely want to see more of that area, though a little slower and with some time to take off on some of those side roads. Here's a great little article about the area. http://visitreno.com/evanoff/apr-08.php For instance, I learned that Lousetown Road was the major road until the Geiger Grade eclipsed it.

Much more history (and not just a few ideas about where to ride) is at the home page of the above author: http://visitreno.com/evanoff/index.php

I washed several pounds of dust off everything, I probably should have panned it for silver, eh?

I uploaded them to photobucket and then posted the photobucket "img code" here? I tried posting one up on another forum and it looked normal...

I will email you the original's

Nice shots Mr. Sasquatch! I'm glad you took pictures of the pizza, was that epicilicious or what? I only took a few photos because I ASSumed Hemingray would take plenty. Of course he is getting old, memory starting to fade, so sometimes he forgets things.

Great ride and great to finaly meet people on the forum. I'm ready go any time again to this area. How great we can ride through VC and moundhouse for fuel and gas. Next ride we will have better luck and no delays so dave(hemingway) can get more photos and eric(GG) and me can erect our prototype shade idea. Had a blast. Thanks for planning and leading the ride Ken. I think you did great without Todd :D

Ken Hower demonstrates the proper way to do the Macarena to Dave. Problem is, with no music, even Ken's rhythm was questionable. (as if it wasn't WITH music)
