ive only tried stock (itp hole shots) and the big horns so far. My hole shots had 2-3 flats in 50 miles, while my big horns have about 1,000+ and and only 1 hole (nail). There heavy duty which i like and the traction seems good im sure you will be happy.

Purty!!

Yeah...I don't think you'll be disappointed. They work well, ride nice and wear well.

What tire pressures should I use on the Rhino? Go with the manufacturer rating of 9psi front and 10psi rear, or can I go lower?

For the record, I go quite slow, prefer rock crawling, only ever go about 20mph if it's really flat and smooth. Occasional sand, snow, mud.

Trail riding....9/10 would be good.

Rock Crawling...I wouldn't go lower than 7 without beadlocks.

Lookin' good! I'm sure you will love them.

I don't know what stock tires you had, but the Dunlops that came with the Grizzlies were awful. They seem paper-thin and as bias-ply, they ride terrible. When I first rode with GrizzlyGuy - who had Big Horns, while I had the Dunlops - I kept thinking "how can he go so fast?" - the rocks were pounding me and I had to keep slowing down. The ride difference with Big Horns was amazing, and I have yet to get a flat or damage of any kind with them.

Because it was like a "Midnight Black Special Edition" it came with some so-so Maxxis Bias Ply tires. The problem was they didn't grip very well in most places, and the ride was a bit harsh even though I have the shocks set to the softest rebound and compression settings. They were only 2-ply, so I'm hoping for good things from these new 6-ply radial tires...

I used them the first time on Saturday up in the local mountains around Lake Arrowhead, it was a huge difference. Much softer ride, much grippier.
2 things I noted:
1. Turning in is softer, it doesn't respond as well to turning the wheel as the older (stiffer) tires did. I think the tread pattern, with it's lack of tread blocks that are aligned in the direction of travel make them a little less grippy from side forces, but more grippy in traction forces.
2. The rear tires now stick out a little bit from the side of the Rhino, and when going through water it throws this water up onto your butt cheek at moderate speeds. So, if you butt is warm, go fast through water. if keeping dry is important, go very slow.

Not like this, in other words:

They are great tires.
