There was a story about this group last year on "This American Life" a radio show on NPR. Read down in their "Missions" and check out the "Best Gig Ever" and "Ted's Birthday". They did another, "The Moebius" where they went to a Starbucks and did a single act/scene and did it over and over again for an hour. People in the Starbucks caught on and it turned into an almost Rocky Horror Picture show atmosphere. Some of it's pretty funny, some is just cruel

Best Gig Ever...that is great. Having played in bands...never knowing who's coming..etc.....that must have been a trip.

Ah...I didn't see it that way.

The band had a good night....the crowd had fun...I've played to 5-8 people before....and it's no fun. I've played to 500 or so people...and it's whole other ballgame.

If they were mocking them.....then not good. But they learned their songs....knew the words and I think they genuinely went there with the intent to make a bands night...and I think they did. The comments from the band, were definitely positive.

OK, I'll give you that. Did you see "Teds Birthday"? They called the guy and asked if he wanted to have another B-Day party, he declined.

The band responded...and thought it was cool too.
