and, I did my yearly physical only to find out I have hypertension (high blood pressure) not that high however, the first thing out of my doctors mouth was quote "You might want to start thinking about high blood pressure medication". That's it..... After some research I found he didn't ask about my diet (eating habits), exercise, stress, sodium intake, caffine intake, alcohol or drug consumption or if I smoked. WTF.... All major contributors to hypertension....
Just an update.... At the time of my physical my doc said over the past few visits my BP was high (a couple of years).... the last one being 160/almost 100. He asked that I think about BP medication.... Since June 25, I tried modifying a few things. Stopped drinking coffee w/sugar (4 to 5 cups or more a day), Stopped drinking alcohol (which I really don't drink much), ellimited most sodium (BTW - it's in everything man made), increased water intake, eating a few more fruits and veggies (than I do now) and increased my exercise regiment (added one more day of cycling).

Sorry to put you to sleep... Now, in three weeks (as of yesterday) I've lowered my BP to 120/85. So in three weeks it's almost normal.... WTF? Personally, I think doctors need to change the way they do business.... I think they add to the problem and not the resolution.... It's like telling a patient to drink a 12 pack a day cuz your not getting enough fluids.... lol.... So wrong.

Holy shit. 4 or 5? Damn.

Nah...you never really drink a lot. On a ride...we might have 2 or 3 in a whole day....1 or 2 at home....and then not any for the next 3 weeks.

Actually...I used to get free chips/salsa and 1 beer at my hotel (free status thing). Last month...I've been getting the fruit basket.

I feel so gay right now. Hold me.

Wow...that's cool. I'm lucky....I'm usually 112 over 71-73.

I agree with you BTW....the doctor should have made ALL those suggestions and said....and if you don't follow them...you'll be on meds.
