MASH - Yes the TV Show
Ok this could be a dumb question, I've always been a fan of the show Mash and I'm assuming the set was in the very mountains you wheel around in. Do you ride the trails that were on the TV show? Just curious.

Nope the set was on a lot in Studio City (Hollywood).

Re: MASH - Yes the TV Show
I actually found some info. The mountain scenes and trails were filmed on the Fox Ranch in the Santa Monica mountains and then donated to CA and renamed Malibu Creek State Park.

I'm pretty sure that's just for the opening sequence or helicopter coming and going shots. The actual camp, was on a studio lot.

Re: MASH - Yes the TV Show
There were loads of episodes driving around, as well the last episode there was a huge brush fire in those mountains and they worked in into the last episode, pretty interesting read. Alot of filming was at the ranch after some research, theres even Youtube videos of the areas and remnants.Ken wrote:I'm pretty sure that's just for the opening sequence or helicopter coming and going shots. Some good reading on it.

Interesting info...
Great show...grew up watching it and now have the entire series on DVD. Just wish they could've stayed true to the earlier episodes that weren't so moralistic.
