ALERT: Buy any small engines before January 1st!

Postby scotte » Tue Dec 12, 2006 6:07 pm

As of January 1st, most small engines under 25HP (i.e. lawn mowers, weed eaters, etc) will have to have catalytic converters etc in California, thanks to a waiver that Feinstein and Boxer put through. Since engines aren't available that meet these standards, it probably means that no small engines can be purchased as of January 1st until manufacturers get them designed, tested, manufactured, and distributed!

Fortunately it does not apply to recreational vehicles, but still...

A lawn mower gives off as much pollution as a car for 13 hours? Find that one hard to believe.

But how else could they get the materials for their McMansions..

Besides, I like the loggin roads - more places to ride..

and without all of the logging traffic they wouldn't put down all they oil on the roads to keep the dust down.

And without all of the oil for the roads they would have to stop drilling...

THINK OF ALL OF THE JOBS LOST..
