I've got a set of 26" and a set of 27" Bighorns, neither measure that large. When NEW, the 26's were 1/4"-1/2" taller and the 27's about 1/2". After about 30 miles they were almost dead on the stated sizes. I think when they're first installed the tend to stand up, but once they are rolled the lay down.

I ended up getting 26"....I've had 26" for 3 years and no mechanical issues....stick to what I know.

i believe that the hard steering talked about on the tight woods trails may be from using aftermarket wheels. more offset can affect handling, and would be difficult to seperate that from tire related handling. (in fact i just looked at the review again and there is now a disclaimer talking about offset rims having an effect on the results)
i have ran both 25s and 27s on stock rims and if anything i have to say that the 27s are as nimble at low speeds. higher speeds is another story.

650i with stuff
You can't run 26 or 27 (9" wide) on Polaris stock offset. Though the ITP offeset is just enough and more favorable than stock using with spacers.

Yes..on the tie rod end....rubs the rubber cap off.
With an 8" tire, the polaris offset probably gives you about 7/16" clearance. Add 1" wider (1/2" on each side) and you have 1/16" rubbing. It's really close...but enough.

I decided to try the radial version...just to check it out. I definitely have my opinion...and ya'll know it. So I thought I'd see for myself...and then I can write a review.
