Some machines come with 14 inch and some with 12 inch, can you guys help me as to why one would have an advantage over the other.

Definitely what Mike says....

Think about it.....if you have a 26" tire on 12" rims...you have 7" of tire sidewall. If you have 26" tires on 14" rims....you have 6" of sidewall.

So what does that mean?

If you're driving fast trails....tight turns, the 14" wheel tire is going to handle better. But, you will have a much rougher ride and less grip rock crawling on the same 14" wheel. Switch that around on 12"....Squishier ride on tight trails...not as responsive....great rock crawling.

So...just depends on what you do...and yes...14" are more $$$$$
