What to do????

Postby Wildhorse800 » Mon May 10, 2010 9:37 pm

Here's a good tire question.
Since they no longer make my rims, I am gonna have to go with a different replacement, most likely a SS112.
So the plan is to just get another SS112 and change out just the rear tires.

Now, if the Bighorns run taller than most, what do you think I should run on the rear? They are 26"up front, so you think 27s on the rears, say like ITP 589s?

I've never mixed tires before, especially on a 4WD machine. I don't know if this will cause a bind or not. Worse case I just replace all 4.

i would not mix and match tires it could throw somhting off all 4wd are desighn to run in unison at some point it could cause damage and cost more then tires in the end that is my take

Ya, don't mix and match. That could be a very costly mistake.

no tire is the same as another tire trust me i sold tires for good year for about 5 years and installed them i seen what happens when you mix and match on 4wds first hand it jacks up stuff bad i rember subaru the most even if the tire is worn a littlebit more it would cause all kinds of issues with the drive train.

Yeah, i'm just gonna wait and see if the Bighorns give me any more problems.

Wheel came in from ITP...no problems, except they sent me an SS108. I think you have to really be looking to notice. Have to get my tire swapped now.
