Fixing Flats

Postby Lander » Wed Nov 28, 2007 6:21 pm

Hey Fish, you forgot to mention the duct tape! Yes, we did fix that nasty sidewall flat didn't we. Actually I was there picking up all the trash someone (Loren) was throwing on the ground.........it was definitely a group effort.

So I went into Grumpy Bear Motorsports here in lincoln today to get tire irons, and they will break it down, patch it, and reassemble for $25  Easy.

So who has plugged a sidewall? Got it patched, filled with air, reinstalled, 3 hours later flat :( Took it back to get patch re done, patch isnt leaking, instead found a pinhole in the sidewall

Think it will hold?

Not that any of you forkers are following this, but... :finger:

So upon further inspection, I noticed the pin hle is in the side wall directly off set from the main hole. Obviously, same nail. When the quad was loaded/unloaded on the trailer with it flat, I am sure that railroad spike length bastid went out the side wall.

Anyway, 12 hours and still holding air...I am hopeful again.
