ITP Mudlite XT

I was looking at the recent Rubicon pics and noticed Mr Bill and Lori running them. What size are you runnning? What are your thoughts of them as an all around tire? Any problems? Thanks

I'm running the 26" XL's and Lori has the 27"" XL's
I'm going to the bighorns when these are worn out.
It's a wife thing.

Andrew do you really want a tire opinion from these two? Maybe their review of Shampoo, Conditioner, or Skin Care products........not tires!

Mud-lites are a good all around tire. But the bighorns grip rocks better, last longer, and do great in the snow.
Mud-lites will do better in mud.
I would spend the extra money and get bighorns only if you don't need deep mud running.
Larry must have around 2K miles on his bighorns.

They work good....no complaints. But the rubber is softer, and the definitely wear out fast.

Last I saw, ITP changed the rubber to the 589 compound to increase wear...so even they knew it was soft.

I have 26" mudlites and they are ok. The ride on harder pack is not really that great and you can definately feel that you are riding on them. They did pretty well in Moab on the slickrock but I did not like them in the sand. I also do not like the braking feel of them. The directional tread does not grip hardly at all while the brakes are locked. I have not really rode them in the mud yet, I usually try to avoid it if I can. They are relatively in-expensive however, which is what I was looking for at the time. The value is fairly good but bext time I am probably going with Bighorns.

I usually run about 6-7 back here in OH. I do alot of woods riding and like the feel of a little bit more pressure. When I was out west I think I ran about 4.
