Yamaha, Kawasaki, Arctic Cat...Etc
This section is all lumped together because no one in our group owns any of these ATV's.
If enough people show up and post...we'll split it up.

Which Cat? I like the 650 LE. It's a good rock crawler. If I didn't have a Polaris, Arctic Cat would be my next choice.

I like Arctic Cats.
Main reasons: Suspension, Ability to lock Front differential, rack systems.
Manual vs. Auto....If you tow stuff...then definitely the manual.
I think it's personal....I HATE shifting!! My cousin has a Honda, which you have to shift.....I want to ride and look at the scenery, and not shift. I don't even want to think about it.
The belt whiners....are full of crap. I've never worried about my belt....as long as you are in LOW, when you should be in Low....you have very little worries.
But I know some people like to shift....
I do like the 6.5 gallon tank...that kicks ass.
I really Fuel Injection....So my next Quad will be a Polaris EFI. I hate getting at extreme angles...and having the Quad Flood and DIE when I want to keep running.
So does Jack...
So does Terry...

I don't worry about the belt I know they are not troublesome. I have allways wanted a Sportsman but the 05 Cat has caught my eye I have not ridden the Polaris to feel their auto, but the cat seemed to need more rpms tham the semi auto to get it moving. One of the reasons I like the manual is that I would use it for hunting and it seems like the manual will cruise slow at a lower rpm. I could lug it in 2nd gear and turn less rpms than the auto.
Manual you'd definitely have more control over the RPM's.

Here is my baby...This was taken the day before I took it to the 12 Hours of ATV America last year. We were the only V-Force entered and it was our first attempt and the first time our entire team got together...we were from all over the US.

I manufacture tie-rods for several companies and this is my test lab. Not too many of us racing MX on a V-Force. I figure if I'm landing 70 foot jumps without breaking the rods and ends, then I'm making something right... I run in the Pro and A classes against the 400 and 450 sport machines. I also run in the 30 plus class...7 starts with 6 First Place finishes...

Feel free to look through my pictures on that site. I started out riding bikes and last year switched over to quads. For some of you bike riders out there, let me know if you recognize a few of the faces...couple of legends in the off-road world on there.
Here is on more...I also flat track my V-Force. If you want a real kick in the pants, give this sport a try...
