Polaris 800 Bendix

Postby DAVE » Wed May 08, 2013 7:18 pm

Hey Guys,
I have a 2007 800 sportsman x2 with the Bendix working when it wants to and not always when I want it to. I pulled it off the machine today. I would like to replace it with a quality bendix. I have been looking online at different venders and see prices from $35 to $190.

The question is do you have a vender that you can recommend for a quality bendix or should I just get one from the dealer.

Thanks
DAVE

I usually order stuff like that from Babbitt's, but their price on your starter was high.

Did a quick search and came up with this: http://www.amazon.com/2008-2009-Polaris ... 00+starter

Says it'll fit, and it's Amazon, so if it doesn't, a return is easy.

Thanks Ken looking for the Bendix drive not the starter. My plan is to pick one up from the dealer Monday.

One thing I learned while doing the work and some research is that if you have a RZR 800 you would need to pull the motor to change out the bendix, now that sound like fun.

Thanks Dave
