motor tick / loss of power

my 2007 polaris 800 sportsman the right ride of motor where your right leg would be theres always a tick from that area when its running. after an hour of driving it is like the throttle response isnt there and motor has the sound like its flooded if any one has an anwsers to what maybe my problem tha.nks

I have the same tick.....but no throttle response issue.....it's ticked...for a very long time....it's a 2006.


Have you cleaned your O2 sensor lately? Losing power.....could also be your fuel pump is failing. Mine would slow down....I would shut it off....restart it...and it would be fine. It turned out to be my fuel pump.


The polaris is the whole tank....but there's a thread here with the Hyundai pump (it's the same pump) that you can buy for 80 bucks or so at NAPA auto.

Changing the fuel filter may work too.

The clicking ice heard is the magneto. I'm not sure how to fix that. Mine does it some times more than others.
