umm what type of coolant does polaris use?

i need to add coolant to my 2006 polaris efi H.O. 500 sportsman and i dont have a clue what kind other then it is green lol

and has any els had a problem with the right side of there polaris plastic melting to the exhuast pipe sheild.

I just use regular Prestone in a 50/50 mix, never had a problem. Make sure to use distilled water or the pre-mixed stuff though, that aluminum radiator doesn't care for tap water.

Yep, typical problem. Wrap the pipe in exhaust wrap, it'll help.

yea i herd it was typical but anoying as all hell so just wrap the pipe? in heat tape i am assuming.

It's exhaust pipe wrap.

It's like a fiberglass...you have to get it wet, use a mask (fiberglass floating in the air) and you need stainless steel zip strips.
