Battery Replacment

Postby DAVE » Sun Jan 02, 2011 4:45 pm

It's time to replace the battery on my wifes 2005 efi 700...it has a yuasa yb30l-b.

My questin is should I stick with the yuasa or go with a differant brand, I would like to save some $$ on the battery. I am not interested in a lesser quality battery.

Got any ideas..

Thanks Dave

Sorry Dave....Cheap good battery, is an oxymoron.

I recently bought a chinese battery for Lori's.....it lasted 1 year. I replaced it with Yuasa maintenance free. The one on my quad is, going strong 3 years later.

I've been thinking about replacing my Grizzly 660's battery since it's over 3 years old now (I'm proactive on things like this.) I also agree - no cheap batteries for the ATV, it has to be reliable. Yuasa has that reputation.

In reading up on this subject, I see a lot of mention of Odyssey brand - here's their web site: http://www.odysseybatteries.com/ I don't have any experience with them yet, but AGM has its benefits.

Yuasa is a safe bet to be sure though!
