Polaris Experts...

Postby ToddW » Sun Oct 10, 2010 8:16 pm

Any local Polaris experts want to make a few bucks?

My 800 Sportsman needs some work and I`ve been busy with business and no time to work on the ATV.

Wondering if a Polaris Expert here with at least 2 references wants to do some work.

- Replace 1 CV
- Replace every CV BOOT
- Change Front, Rear, Tranny Fluid (possibly will get done by me soon)
- Install front HD Springs

If no one is interested I`ll be taking it to the dealer, unless they want some astronomical amount for this stuff

I still need to buy:
- All CV Boots
- Complete CV
- HD Springs

If anyone knows the best/affordable place to buy the above let me know too ;)

Thanks

Also need some of the plastics tweaked, and Christmas trees replaced.

When are you wanting it done?

I wouldn't replace the CV boots unless they are torn. They don't wear out, they either tear or they're good.

Erlandson Performance is the place for HD springs, best price I have found. Do you want all 4?

I need it done before it gets too wet and mucky, and for sure prior to snow.
From what I can recall every CV boot is ripped  and the one CV is bad.

Have you guys put rear HD springs on? Worth it?
My front ones are toast after 2 years of plowing, accelerating and braking feel like I`m floating, so I def. need them in the front, and I don't mind in the rear as long as it won't be too stiff :| I weigh in around 155lbs so not much weight on the back-end.

If your interested shoot me your phone # and we can chat.
I can drop it off at your place anytime, I don't mind if it's uncovered or not stored inside either.

It may need a light bulb replaced/wiring fixed, and or the light-mod to allow both high and low beams on at once.

Thanks
-Todd

Todd,

I put the heavy duty springs on the front and back. Love 'em.

AJ - most definitely!! If you have your adjusters cranked all the way up and you're still bottoming, you need the HD springs. It doesn't affect the ride that adversly and will virtually do away with all bottoming out!
