Rear shock bushings

Postby Wildhorse800 » Wed Apr 21, 2010 8:59 am

Before I buy some universal??? bushings and cut them down to size, does anyone know if you can buy replacements? The fiche for Polaris only lists the shock as an assembly with no #'s for the bushings.

I took mine in under warranty and after a day they gave it back saying it was fixed.
....like I wasn't going to check!

Them f***ers actually installed an old, rock hard, already cracking apart bushing! Excuse me if i seem pissed! I know its only a bushing, but I bought a $0 deductible 3 yr extended warranty and this is the service i get???

#12 - someone at Poo is blowing smoke up your nether regions. If it's the same dealer that installed those old bushings, doesn't surprise me.

#12 is the metal hub inside the bottom housing bushings. I am talking about the actual bushings at the bottom of the shock itself.

Where bolt and nut (17 & 18 ) go inside. I've went through this before where I ended up getting front sway bar link bushings from like an 88 grand am and cutting them down to size.

I already seen that fiche, and as you can see, they don't list the bushings as being replaceable.

I just did some research and found where to get the lower polaris 600 shock bushings they are heavy duty racing quality .As we all know I searched the net for hours and come up with nothing then i found these and emailed Super dave for some specs . the outer flange is a bit smaller OD but will work just fine still have to install them will give report later .they will not work for the top bushing is narrower but you could shave it down to fit. my top bushings where fine anyways. sorry no pics http://www.superdaves.citymax.com/catal ... 389401.htm
