Once you put it back in low, you don't have to hold the yellow button any more. Effectively what you are doing is called "wedging", it's forcing the clutches to stay locked together giving you AWD with EBS without having to slip the tires for engagement like normal. It's probably not the best thing to do, but in a bad situation could prove to be a life saver.

The clutches will disengage once the AWD switch is turned off.

FYI - I just installed a Heel Clicker clutch in mine and used their secondary spring. I can attest to the fact that it makes the EBS work MUCH better than before. I was descending a hill yesterday that was pretty steep and just for a test, I let off the throttle and the bike did lock the rear tires but also brought me to a complete stop. In high it slows you down considerably more than the stock secondary spring did.

THe Active Descent Control is it though, if you're looking, that's the system to get then you have no concerns.
