The bottom line then is that if you think your car is ever likely to see a cold morning in the -45°F (-43°C) range, you should be considering 0W40 oil. If not, 5W40 will do.

one of my best friends has been to all of the Polaris tech schools, he says that the 0w40 is the only weight oil to run in my atv, due to the oil galleys and flow to some of the bearing and seal areas, any heavier oil and it can get starved for oil.... just the info he gave me.
