I had a twin air on my 700 for about two months. The sticky nature of the foam filter plugged with dirt that quick. I'd rather use a foam filter as well, just to have peace of mind about catching such a greater amount of the smallest particulates, but I was informed the mass airflow sensor was very sensitive and the oily vapor being pulled through the foam filter tends to stick to the sensor causing a malfunction. For these two reasons, I've been running the stock paper filter on my 700 since.
I like how after I shut down on the trail while miles from home, I can just open up the airbox, remove the filter, tap off the dust, and re-attach it. I can't do that with a foam filter.
If I was running a carbed motor, there'd be no question. I'd be running either NoToil or TwinAir.
