Spare Wires in Headlight Pod

Postby hostdave » Wed Aug 02, 2006 10:52 am

When I added my 3 light kit I noticed extra wires with connectors in the light pod. What accessory are they for?

What color wire? Orange is for hand warmers (on the 04.5 500's anyways)

I like them. In the words of Old trucks "sissy heated hand grips".
When it is cold out not as cold as that La Porte ride I can use my light weight gloves and be fine.

Are these the same wires for the 05 700EFI Sportsman?
I think that having the heated grips with handguards is a great idea.

I was hoping someone would say they are for a backup light. But since that doesn't appear to be the case, has anyone added an accessory rear light? If so, who was the manufacturer and was it an easy add?

I run this one and it works great. Super water proof switch.
