Just spoke with them. 100 thru 600 are only water resistant.
The only one water proof to IPX-7 in the XL model.
This is for the world wide market. Some is wrong with the Canadian data on that web page.

I see the max speed on the 600 in 951MPH or for BC thats 1530.5km/H
Shit thats all
You would think Mach one would be fine, just in case Chadd had one on his quad.

LOL! MrBill

Dusty you would be surprised how well customer support is with alot of companies if you e-mail or call...Im sure everyone has a horor story but for the most part many are really good...I had emailed "Warn" one time about changing the mount location on their snow blade..They called me back at home and I ended up talking with one of the guys who designs their equipment for at least 1/2 hour.

What would really neat is if they could integrate the speed part into some type of kill switch on the quad. That way when it saw a mud puddle coming up it could stop the quad before you hit it going too fast causing you to flip off and turn into a big sissy with a broken toe

Heres a cool one my old Garmin Street Pilot Color Map is IPX-7 rated. It's a year 2000 model.
I'm making a mount for it right now. Good old 5000 Al. and a brake.
Should be cool.

I concur with Ken that needing something that is waterproof is a must. I jsut wish it had the altimeter and other stuff the 600 had. I also do like hte AA batteries vs the re-chargeable as I would forget to charge it and can get hold of AA easier than a charging location most of the time

nothing will ever replace a map and compas, but then again. . . I still remember the days of boy scouts when we were given just a few UTM cordinates and had to find our way. . .

So I went to REI tonight. . . the XL is the only way to go. . . the 600 is nice, but the display looks like a honda compared to the XL. . .
