Love to...but my neighborhood is too foo-foo to allow that. Even if I did get it approved, it would lower the value...believe it or not.

Nope...other side of the house. Couldn't possibly, be any farther away.

I understand all too well. The one we're getting ready to build has been in planning for over a year. Still find things that have to be changed or massaged. I've mocked up models and moved walls to the point that I think I've built it 100 times in my head.

It's amazing how many little things...like outlets slipped through. I have a courtyard in front, and we put a 3 tier fountain, and we had a rough idea we'd put on there. No power....solved, we had an outlet installed. But...the hose bib is on the other side of the house and closes water faucet is a fix curve faucet in my bar, so I had to fill it from the kitchen flexi-hose. I finally decided to tap into the drip system and fill it when the plants get watered...it's working ok....but a hose bib would have been nice.

Lincoln 255C.....SWEET!

Postby oldtrucks » Sat Apr 15, 2006 7:48 pm

I sold my Miller 185 last week and bought a Lincoln 255C yesterday. I found a used machine that was basically brand new. The previous owner set it up right with the optional Spool Gun and really only used the spool part of the machine for doing light aluminum work. It has the original 30 pound spool of .035 steel wire and it's hardly been used.

The 255C will be the last machine I'll ever need. I got it all setup this evening and did some test runs and must say I'm extremely happy with it. The unlimited tap and wire feed settings are great and makes fine tuning the machine a breeze. The Miller had fixed settings so I had to pick the closest tap and then try and adjust the wire speed, seemed like it was always too fast or a little too slow. Being more a production machine it has great feel and is very smooth.
