So Ken are these just maps or can you view 3D on the run ?(running on GPS) I have a USB GPS receiver that I run on a lap top and My view is only flat not 3D. I have to make 3D maps and lay My tracks down on top of the 3D.

Just the mapping software to download your tracks/waypoints into for Magellan GPS units.

No change on the screen....though they did add new stuff to the 2D topo you upload to your unit.

Magellan is revamping their whole line. All the handhelds, are now called The eXplorists.

The main advantage, is they use standard SD cards....which you can make your memory...limitless. The units are all USB and because of the SD cards...you can move your stuff around with Windows File manager...just like it was a drive.

Garmin still uses proprietary memory. SD is way cheaper and more of it. I got a deal rebate on 512MB SD for under 50 bucks a while back for my camera.
