Has any one used a Magellan Explorist 510 or 610 the only diffrence is the 610 has a Barimatric Altimiter just wonder if I need it or not.

I have a Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx and it has the barometric altimeter. I thought it would be cool, but it's more annoying than anything because in this model you can't switch it off. Unfortunately, I do like the magnetic compass and that comes with it.

If it were me and that was the only difference, I would not pay extra for it. The GPS altimeter is fine for OHV use in my opinion.

The 610 also has the 3 axis compass and comes with the Summit series maps preloaded.
