snowshoe deal

Postby hemingray » Mon Mar 07, 2011 5:11 pm

Got an email from Sportsman's Guide and they have a special on snowshoes - used U.S. Military Magnesium Snowshoes. I thought you guys who use tracks or otherwise might need to walk around in deeper snow might find these to be a good deal. Seems cheap to me at $29.95.

That's really cheap.

Go to Cabelas or REI....you're looking at minimum $100-150 for them. If you're out in tracks...Snow shoes are MANDATORY.

Ha! I'm getting ready to put mine on so I can slog into the snow and dig out our kitchen and laundry room windows. The snow is pressing on the glass and we're worried that the glass might break when the next storm hits us tomorrow.

The grizzly den is hopeless, and my in-window solar battery maintainer is definitely doing nothing. The snow is now up above roof level and connecting to the roof with no more "shed well" so no light is getting to the window:

Oh well, the batteries are now 4 years old and I was planning on replacing them anyway. In July when I can hopefully get the grizzlies out...
