Carry stuff

Postby hemingray » Wed Jan 26, 2011 8:14 pm

I've been looking for a better way to carry radios and stuff than arranging on my belt or packing inside the ATV luggage. I found this cool item:

http://www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/THE ... K-4p19.htm

The company has some really cool stuff, sort of a tactical flavor. Rather than having pockets bulging with stuff I put in them when I get off the ATV and go walking, some of these waistpacks and other things would be a nice alternative. There are a number of things for you gunslingers too.

I haven't bought anything from them yet, but it's a fun catalog to browse.

I don't have any Maxpedition gear, but they get good reviews on the gun and survival forums. Having your SPOT, ham radio, cell phone and basic survival gear attached to your body in one of those packs would be a good thing if you happen to get tossed from your quad and break bones. I currently keep all that stuff on the quad and ought to think about an upgrade myself prior to next season (along with a full-face helmet).

I think about that each time I am tempted to put the phone in the bags. My current cellphone holder is open on the sides, so I want to make sure anything I get has a place for stuff out of the dust flow, but still to hold onto it (along with the radios!).
