Magellan GPS repair

Postby Ken » Tue Jan 25, 2005 3:37 pm

Looks like they covered my GPS under warranty. I bought it in August 2003 and riding in the rain in October 2004, it totally got wet inside (it was water proof...floating kind).

Anyway...I sent 'em the receipt and this photo

I got this email

Sched. Delivery: Jan 27, 2005
Shipped to: GRANITE BAY, CA, US
Service Type: 3 DAY SELECT

They never called...never asked for a credit card...so I'm assuming it's fixed, replaced...Or still FUCKING BROKEN!

I'll let you know...if it's fixed...Magellan rocks.

AWESOME!!

Magellan rocks. I got my shipment today....A BRAND NEW REPLACEMENT!! They also sent a new manual, as well as a belt holder and case.

It's nice to know they stood behind the product, since I didn't do anything to it, other than use it as they describe/suggest.

That sucks!!! Mine was a year and a half old when the screen went out and they wouldnt even look at it without a credit card. They wanted ~$100 to fix it.

I did make out ok, after explaining what had happend to Costco they just gave me my money back. How cool is that. Also after a year and a half prices have come down and I got a Magellan Meridian color for the same $$$.
