BACKCOUNTRY.COM

Postby Ken » Fri Dec 10, 2004 12:26 am

I wanted to post a note of praise for an internet outdoor site called http://www.backcountry.com.

I ordered a pair of skis for Christmas from another site. 2 days later, I got an email that they were low on supply and I would know if they found a pair in 1 to 2 days. At the end of day 2, I called and was told...Sorry, we're out.

I scrambled, and found backcountry.com on Google. They have an INSANE supply of backcountry stuff. Really good quality. I would call them the REI of the Internet at good prices.

I made the order, around 3PM PST or 4PM in SLC. I checked my email about 2 hours later, and not only did I have an Order Confirmation email, but I also had a UPS tracking Number!!

I was floored. That's SUPER HUMAN customer service.

that is nice to hear that companys still care about their customers. . . I had a really bad experience @ best buy over the weekend. . .

I went to return a present my brother got me there as the item was on sale for 15 $$ cheaper and he informed me of this. . . So when I went there they claimed I would not be able to return it to get the price difference without the orignal receipt. . . I went around and around with the manager. . . in the end he called the cops on me and kicked me out of the store. . . Cops never got there, but I eneded up with a win as staci went in the next day and returned the items. . . bastards @ bestbuy. . .

Wow, interesting article... and from a CEO. lol...

Hey Dusty.... Next time you go to Best Buy to return something.... Hide your shopping cart and take off the ski mask when talking to the manager.

Without the receipt, the guy probably thought you shop lifted..

Me Too. Here I thought I was a good customer. I wait for the sales, take advantage of the zero financing and always redeem my rebates. They hate me!

That just sucks they do it to boost customer flow then they don't like the customers it brings in. If they don't like it then why do they do it????

Postby roon101 » Wed May 14, 2008 8:12 am

i worked at a best buy for a while in loss prevention and let me tell you those mangers have a bunch of that stuff cramed in to there heads in there training program the good thing is i didn't half to take orders from them and my boss thought that they where all jack asses

any way yea they use to call us out to talk to customers that they pissed off just like what the story seys that wanted to return somthing
the reasoning being is that they want you to buy there wanty's on the elctronics so they prey on basicly what i seen older laidies and people that dont' know what there looking for
