Kitty from the dark side - I put mine in the can, otherwise it won't seal and it WILL leak!

LOL! Don't feel stupid, HellCat. When I saw the pictures of the new ones I had to ask someone the same thing.

On the old ones I'm sure you store the nozzle inside. On the new ones, I was told you do the same thing.

I just got my eBay ones a few minutes ago. Old style, Kolpin trademark, identical to my WallyMart one I bought a couple months ago. So they are the real deal and it's totally legit. Not to mention the guy is spot on with shipping, from order to front door - 5 days. WM was considerably slower than that.

Kendo,
Thanks a lot for the good report. Excellent news. I will expect mine early next week, since it takes a little longer to get to the right coast.
I see by his auction that he is down to 8 this morning. Going fast.

Thanks for tip Kendo & GG on nozzle storage. Mine came with cracked cap. E-mailed guy and he is finding a replacement to send me. Otherwise tank is awsome.

I won't be using the 2 new ones I just got until the grizzly den melts out in late spring. So if he can't get you a replacement quick enough I can always grab the cap off one of mine and send it to you. Or you can pick it up if you're coming up this way to do some skiing or something.

A little trick I was told when I was selling those cans, if they don't already have it, was to apply a light coating of Vaseline to the threads of the can and also in the cap threads. It helps them go on easier and come off easier later. Raw new plastics can bind on each other when the caps screwed on and off the first few times.
Have fun, ride safe, keepem wheels down, and see you at the Jamborees,

You can stack all 6 on one rack if you want to but I use 2 per rack that seem to work the best for me. I also found putting a soft towel or wet suit material under them helps a lot so they don't get ware marks on them. I can say one thing if you roll the quad the tank is not going to bust. The wife roll the 600lb grizzly and landed on the rocks and the tank held up great and we are still using it not one problem.

I just got mine in the mail today.

On first glance, I was thinking they appeared USED. The cap threads already have a Vaseline substance on them and the interior smelled of something.

The ad on eBay indicates NEW, so I'll just assume mine are and hope they didn't contain something other than fuel if they're not.

Cool
I will let you know when i get the 4 I ordered if the have been used or not and remove the vaseline and put silicon on my threads as gas will not wash that off :)
Thanks for the update Bruteforce
