From what I have seen the are a little cheeper too. I found you can order from their online page and have things delivered to the store without shipping costs.

Looks like they hold more as well - stated 4 gallons - older ones rates 3.2

$10 cheaper as well -

Bill can now carry another 20 gallons

I'm wondering if you can replace the spout with one of the old ones. Actually...I don't like the current twist vent....it's prone to leaking.

The other issue I just noticed.....

That fancy new spout...BETTER DAMN WELL GO INSIDE. Cause that's stupid if it stays out, like it's displayed. One would hope they're not that stupid.

The dimensions are different. I don't think it will fit on a Polaris front rack, with the railing installed.

New
Product in Inches (L x W x H): 34.5 x 14.0 x 3.25

Old
Product in Inches (L x W x H): 32.25 x 13.25 x 2.5

Ok.

The most KNOWLEDGEABLE guy I know...Is Steve from Montana Jacks. This is what Steve had to say....

As you have seen, Kolpin came out with all new fuel and water packs. They are now blow-molding them instead of roto-molding them. This was to get the cost down. The tanks them selves seem to be OK but the pour spout is pure crap. I think Kolpin is going to have some major problems with this product due to leaks. If you want any of the old ones, I would get them asap before they are all sold.

No matter where you may source it, in my opinion the old tank is a better unit. Tougher with a better spout and vent system.

Yes we checked the fitment of the new style epa aproved safety tested nozzle to these new Kolpin tanks and the fitment was extremely poor to the neck of the tank... ya know round does not seal well with oval if you get my drift.
