Pro Armor Skid Plates

Postby Ken » Sun Mar 04, 2007 8:03 am

I just bought and installed Pro Armor plates on my red 800. I just thought I'd update their new design.

The older plates bolted into the side rails, and one of the design "flaws", was the bolts were exposed and over time got smooth.

Well, I installed the new one and was pleased to see they changed the design. They had 2 nice holes for the tranny and oil stop (previously, the tranny plug was covered). They used 2 different holes in the frame up front and this time all the bolt holes were recessed. Now all the bolts are protected against getting smoothed out on the rocks.

Yup. 700 and 800 are the same...it's the one that's 2005-2007.
