A ride out into the Plumas from Mohawk to Mt. Fillmore, then Eureka Peak and return, with GrizzlyGuy and Summits on the Air. Nice day with thunderstorm builds.

We did the Snake Lake trail on Fri. Over to the Sunnyside mine and back down pass the Hawley Lake petroglyphs to Gold Valley. Good time had by all.

We unloaded @ Gold Lake campground. But that way is VERY rocky and rough. I/we went that just because I haven't been that way in a few yrs. and it is as bad as I remember it. IMOH the best way is to go to the top of Packer Saddle. The rd. both ways into the back country is OHV open from they.hemingray wrote:Where do you unload for going to that area?
