Last weekend I took a short 50 mile jaunt out to see Sawtooth Ridge, it's been awhile. This is fun road riding, no rocky trails here. The lower part is a 30 mph charge to the top now that they've graded it for logging out in Big Valley. I thought they would have done some logging up on Quartz Mountain too, but they've only scraped out a landing and put in waterbars where none are needed - plus straightening out what was a fun trail into a straight road. Sigh.
Still, it was a nice warm day up topside. The pic here is of an old road on the topo map that is no longer a road. Click for the gallery.

I saw them down there a few trips ago. Looks like the same guys who graded/repaired Bowman Lake Road also did the road improvements down there.

Busy spring for me, but after the quads get serviced I will be ready to roll finally. Glad you got out, it was nice weather this weekend! I know, 'cause I spent it doing yard work. I have to say, it's a little fun riding the quad around with a sprayer full of Roundup!
