Boca

GrizzlyGuy gave me a guided tour of the Boca area and we bagged some new mileage too. I've ridden to Verdi Peak, but little else other than driving along Heness Pass Road out there. Boy - there's a lot to see! Highlight of the day was riding up to Ladybug Peak, and hiking to the summit - we agreed the 360 degree view from there was better than from Verdi Peak. There are vistas galore along Verdi Ridge, from Beacon Point over to Verdi Peak itself as well as views from the shoulder of Crystal Peak across Dog Valley.

Lots of fun trails, roads and views and even somewhat well signed (compared to other areas of the Tahoe NF, the Toiyabe NF has a lot more signage). It helps to be prepared, there are a zillion junctions and small roads - it could get confusing! Well worth a visit.

It's a small forest! Ha ha, that's cool - we looked up to that area from Ladybug Peak, Sardine is a huge mountain when viewed from that area.
