Getting out, any way I can!

Postby hemingray » Sat Mar 16, 2013 12:39 pm

Heard a train coming east, so I went down to meet it. About 2 1/4 miles of hauling a**. Sorry for the overly compressed video, not sure why YouTube did that on uploading.

Yes - good neighbor! He uses some of my property and I have rights down the back road. :-)

I used to go almost to Colfax, and I've gone as far as Bell Rd. the other way, but didn't push further. It's actually very challenging in places due to the rutting - I have to slow down a lot lest I be pulled into the slot. I can't do the Colfax thing anymore because a really steep spot has become so bad I can't risk it.

After the above, I rode west again and followed another train.

It helps to understand that:

1) I wasn't planning on a train, and
2) I wasn't planning on a second train, and
3) I am a railfan!

I really just went out for a ride and everything fell into place.

Hi, I haven't been on the forum for so long, I had to re-register. I too am a trainfan. Outdoor Model Railroading as well as real trains. You are so lucky, you can chase trains right from your house. That is way cool. I am jealous. Great fun.
