Poker Run From Washington
Everybody had a great time on the Poker Run, it was about 22 miles and there was about 35 riders. I have never rode in deep dust like what we encountered on a section of the trail, I was riding next to a buddy and the dust came over his quad like a wave over the bow of a boat, i was laughing my ass off, it was crazy.
i set my GoPro to take pictures every 10 seconds but i think i forget to hit start. I only have pictures from the last card stop.

Looks like you had a great time. Great area to ride in. I would also recomend a trip to Allaghaney, it's a great day ride from Washington.

Re: Poker Run From Washington
Alleghaney will be our next ride. We heard about it from some of the folks that rode in the poker run. I did some research on Alleghaney and it will be a fun trip, we are thinking about either staying at the River Rest Resort in Washington again or staging off Bowman Rd for just a day trip. Hopefully the weather holds up another couple weeks so we can plan it.

Re: Poker Run From Washington
I'm waiting to see what Kendo and Kodiak find trying Bowman Lake Road, as I would like to ride one more time - but without much snow.
Going from Washington to Alleghany seems a good bet via Relief Hill Road, it only tops at 4675 on both ridges, whereas going via Bowman it's 6100 via Graniteville Road or 6474 via Henness Pass Road. The snow level I found yesterday was that things are probably impassable at 5300 feet for all but the dedicated snow freaks...
Either of those would be fun rides!

Re: Poker Run From Washington
my thinking is that it won't snow again for a while and the snow that is there will melt enough to not be a problem. i hope to get a ride together in the next week or two.
