Fun stuff! Did you start at Secrettown at the river and go up to the canal??

I shoulda thought of that for this weekend. I toyed with the idea of going up Foresthill Rd, but fire, responding to a medical east of China Wall was running into ice patches and that would be no fun with a trailer.

I ran the part above, but never went down to the powerhouse. I'll have to try it!

there's actually no powerhouse around (think it was rj miles concrete plant back in the day) and if you've never been there it might be a little hard to find the route down to the creek bottom or vise versa from creek bottom to powerlines

I've parked across from the Dutch Flat powerhouse and rode up from there, and along the power lines down to the canal. I'm better at finding trails than I used to be... :-)

well after looking at Google earth i guess there is some type of powerhouse, it’s beyond a locked gate from where I park

Yep - I've seen it (before I got my quad) - it's just a single turbine generator type, not inside a structure. It's similar to the one across from PG&E's Dutch Flat powerhouse.
