12-10-11 Modoc Rim Ride

Postby ACLakey » Sun Dec 11, 2011 7:06 am

Well my boss is moving to warmer climates so we decided to send him off with one last ATV ride. It was a brisk 8F when we left the house so everybody had their warm weather gear on. My camera was acting up in the cold so I only got a few pictures using my phone. All in all it was a fun 35mi loop.

The old homestead.

The lake near by was froze over so we did a little playing

The old trestle, a great place to eat some lunch.

From the top the trail loops along the Modoc Rim, some great views from up there.

Good times had by all. I wish the other pictures had come out but we won't forget it.

I don't sopose you would have a gps map of the area looks like a cool area to ride. I know just enough to know you are in northern Ca, or southern Or.

Thanks for sharing the pic's, by the way how many miles were you able to go that day?

We went around 35mi yesterday, nothing very challenging just a fun ride. I don't have my tracks from yesterday but here are some from the same area earlier in the year.

Yeah, that looks like a great place to ride - but in warmer days for me... :-( Beautiful country you have there. Nice ride! (and love the trestle shot!)
