Postby auendave » Mon May 30, 2011 4:50 pm

Very cool. Is there any good fishing there...other than for gold?

Dave, Have you had any problems with the forest service and you working your claim??? I have been reading some reports of access to claims being denied by the forest service. :(

Looks like a nice area

There are fish have not seen anyone fishing,

The forest service has not given me any problems, my claim does lie right at the end of one of the OHV trails in plumas nationsl forest so I do think I am pretty safe, I was hoping they would come and finish clearing the road. someone had cleared a lot of trees up on the ridge part of the road and had started on theses.

Mike Im saving for those bighorns hope to get them soon. Im looking forward to the high lakes again.

That's cool! I camped next to Slate Creek on one of my overnight expeditions a few years ago. Maybe I rode that trail to your claim and didn't even know it. I'm sure that isn't where I camped (I camped near the old St. Louis Bridge), but I poked around on various trails out there.
