Jacob City Loop
Decided to take a break from renovating the wife's bathroom today. Packed up the quad and staged in the Jacob City Loop staging area (just east of Stockton).
It was still pretty cold at the staging area.. Easily 34f. Since the forecast was for warm temps, I only brought a sweatshirt.
Decided I wanted to see how much snow was still up top. Most of the trail to Jacob City is open, with just a few snow drifts here and there.
About 1/4 above Jacob City, the trail was completely obstructed by 2-3' of snow. It was still quite cold up top.
Came back down to the staging area and rode South toward Ophir. Many mud puddles and rocks and generally not much fun riding.
Upon returning to my vehicle, I quickly found out that little blue birds were all over my truck. They were perched on the side view mirrors, roof and hood. Seems they saw themselves and decided to start mating with my truck. What a mess. I could barely see out the driver or passenger side window. Had to route back home via Tooele to spray off all the "funk" deposited by those little birds.
A few photos from today:
Oh, note the new fog lights (in the center grill) that I installed last week. This should improve my summer night riding!

It's my third 750, so I like it. It's maintenance pig, but otherwise runs great and has a ton of power.ACLakey wrote:Great country, how are you liking that Brute Force?
