Riding to Roseville

Postby hemingray » Fri Jul 10, 2009 8:12 pm

Hey, it's the best I can do for now - off to get the Griz fixed after my little botanical encounter... a.k.a. hit the tree... :(

You hit a tree?!

Dave, you're supposed to turn the little handle-pipe things so that the big-round-rubber things go AROUND the trees. Preferably all 4 of them on the same side of the tree.

Yeah, well my little opposed thumb thing slid under the black pipey thing and held the little black thingie that make Grizzly-GO as I almost did a belly slide over the black pipey thing and the round rubber things. However, I got it sorted out just in time to slide into a big red manzanita thing and bended up all the gray pipey things and the black A-thing that holds onto the roundey things. Many things then came out of my mouth. Now many things will come out of my wallet.

All this silly sh** happened within 100 ft of the house as I pitched down a little grade.

'Nuff said.... :-/

I would be inclined to join you guys this weekend, but I'm thinking the 450 is not up to Rubicon kind of craziness so I am planning on a road ride somewhere on the forest... Little Griz doesn't have a winch either.

LOL! I have a perfectly good explanation for that. I was heading down the hill when this bright beam of light suddenly came straight down from the sky. The light blinked off, and there stood three little green men, right in my path. I swerved to miss said green men and into the hole I went. The green men immediately beamed back up, so I wasn't able to get a picture of them before Ken came back up the hill to retrieve me. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Hey Dave, didn't you have another quad-damaging incident right there at your house? Maybe you ought to hang a triple-black-diamond sign down by your mailbox and avoid riding in that treacherous area entirely.

You know what they say about accidents and how close they happen to home... At least I don't have to spend any money on gas to bend up the quad! ;-)
