Postby camokids » Fri Jun 12, 2009 2:38 pm

a friend of mine and myself went riding around the chester area on the 30th and 31st of may. was going to stop by Chadds but he wasn't open. to early in AM or to late in PM. we rode a total of 200 miles in 2 days. it was a great time to say the least!

I got pics here http://rides.webshots.com/album/572200624gAhcsw if any one wants to see
and if someone can let me know what i'm doing wrong on the uploading
of pics please help!
i'm copying the the address and pasteing on my post but it just gives a link to the pic and doesn't show the image?????

you half to go to the imge code and copy that and paste it i have never seen the one you use most of us use photobucket

that i know of yea took me some time to learn how to post the pictures up here as well.

but if you have an area where you can edit the image or somthing like that there should be an Image code you just copy it from the pictures you want and then copy them one by one to the site.

I clicked on the picture and then used the "link to this picture"
Pick the size you want and ...do the normal for other pictures.

Nice ride. It sounds like it is a good area to do some riding and camping on the trail. The photos are nice also. You picked a good size too, "one that isn't bigger than my monitor"

Man, that looks like some nice country. For those of us who don't have a friend's parents' house to start from, what do you recommend for a trailhead?

Are there any trail-accessible gas stations? Looks like a fine place for a multi-day expedition.

ride

Postby camokids » Wed Jun 17, 2009 10:24 pm

i'll most likely be go back this summer w/ the whole family and probably camp at soldier meadows camp ground which is south/west of chester
http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/lassen/maps/qua ... 121-b3.pdf
we found that Butte Meadows is quad "friendly" and the "tank house" in
B.M. sells fuel, B.M. is about 30? miles south/west of soldier meadows c.g. and you can find just about everything else in chester but you can't ride into town
