Probably not the kind of riding you guys care for too much, but still wanted to share. I also posted at IE (for those who saw it there).

A couple of buddies and I hit Forest City for a couple of days last weekend. Had a blast finding the old mines n stuff. Pix are posted here: http://modfather.org/gallery/Forest-City-5-15-09

Hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did taking them!

I know Oregon creek runs thru Forest city but theres lot of little creeks around there but if you were near the plumbago it could be the Middle Fork Yuba river

Nice pix - enjoyed the old mining stuff. Thanks for sharing!

I haven't run the ATV around there, but it's sure a nice drive through Forest City and then north on Mountain House Road to Goodyears Bar on the North Yuba.

Hmm...we crossed so many rivers, I can't be sure. I don't think that was the one we crossed to get to the river (in my pix) as that one was wood planked, and if I recall correctly, the one we crossed was a concrete unit....I think...LOL

Nice pics, I rode out of washington yesterday and crossed both of the bridges you guys have pictures of. 1st time Ive rode there, its cool how you can make a huge loop and not have to come back the way you came.

Oh and whats with the wood spliter out front at the plumbago with a forsale sign on it. I wouldn't think someone driving by on that road would be looking to buy a spliter there.

Awesome man! Did you get any pix per chance? And much like you, I found that it was pretty cool to ride for an hour or so, only to hit one of the same spots that I was before, but from a completely different direction!

Thx man! I sure enjoyed the hell out of it. I'd love to hit some more Nevada mining camps and ghost towns. I have a blast every time I ride out there.

Sorry no pics, Iam bad about never taking pictures.
We made a huge figure 8. Only hit the same section of road twice for about 100'.

That looks like a great area to ride. Nice photos. Where do you go to start the ride?

Once you see the "Forest City" sign there are 2 roads. One takes you into town - the other into the forest. We went left for about 1/2 mile - found a camp site, and set up there.
