03-30-08 Klamath River Canyon

Postby ACLakey » Mon Mar 31, 2008 7:37 am

Well, I finally was able to get out and do a little riding. We decided to drop down in the Klamath River canyon due the fact it was over 1000' lower than home and we could get out of the snow. Starting out the snow was as hard as rock which made things fun.

You could pretty much go anywhere and there were no worries about getting stuck.

We dropped down in the canyon to one of my favorite fishing and camping spots and had lunch.

A little spring that gurgles out of the mountain.

On the way back we stopped off at the moon area...this place is nasty in the summer, let alone this time of the year. needless to say it took some winching to get everybody through.

I can't begin to explain how slick this stuff is!!!

It was a good ride, the first time Dad has been able to get out sense last fall. Next time I will take more pictures.

That camping spot next to the river looks great.
