AM temps ~40F, mid-day temps around 74F.
What a great spot to escape from 3-4' of snow (in Utah), get sunburned, eat sand and dirt.. Get's me all fired up for Spring/Summer!

I went up to pull my oldest (age 13) out of the sand, but as you can see dug myself in and got high centered. Took a bit of digging with the shovel, but I got both of us out. The tow rope was useless in that sand!

Looks like Mr. BruteForce is reaching for the shovel he has stowed across the back of his rear bag. The Rancher has him tactically outmaneuvered, and he knows he's in for some diggin'
Either that or he's getting ready to haul his mini-JATO pack out of the bag for a little extra sand extraction power. If that's the case, then the Rancher needs to cut that rope and high-tail it backwards in a hurry.
